What is my hearing age?

A tone game for 1–8 players. Each color is one player. Everyone hears the same tone and taps their color when they hear it.

Privacy policy

Updated September 19, 2026. Applies to the app com.marcos.edadaudio on Android and iOS.

Developer: Marcos Vidal Fernández Heras. Contact: marcosvidalfernandezheras@gmail.com.

The game does not send hearing results to the developer. It generates audio on the device and can play offline once access has been verified, and does not request microphone, camera, location, contacts or file access. It has no advertising or behavioural tracking. Google Play Billing includes technical diagnostics described below.

The language preference, free-round counter and purchase receipt/status stay on your device until you clear app data or uninstall. Player count and round results are used locally, are not saved in a history and are not transmitted. There are no in-app accounts. Android app-data backup is disabled. On iOS, device backups may include local preferences according to your Apple settings.

Google Play and the App Store may process downloads, testing, purchases and diagnostics under their own policies. The app receives purchase receipts and status, but does not receive card or bank details. On Android, Google Play Billing sends Google technical billing diagnostics, including errors, response times, app and system versions and device model, to analyse and improve the service. This uses encrypted connections and has no in-app opt-out. The app queries and acknowledges purchase status with Google Play to unlock features and prevent invalid access. It does not transmit hearing results. Store records and diagnostics are governed by Google’s policies; the developer cannot delete those records from the app. If you email support, your email address and message are used to respond and resolve your request. Do not send medical data, passwords or payment details. You may request deletion of the conversation by email, subject to legal retention duties.

Opening this website sends technical request information, including your IP address, to the hosting service to serve and protect the site. This page adds no analytics, advertising, forms or its own cookies. External email, Google Play and App Store services also have their own privacy policies.

Free trials and purchases

Version 1.2 includes three free rounds per installation. A round counts once when audio starts successfully, regardless of player count or early stopping. A one-time purchase then unlocks unlimited rounds, manual tones and the paw. No subscription or ads. The current store price is shown before confirmation. Purchases and restoration require connectivity and the same store account; Android and iOS purchases do not transfer.

The app stores the language, trial count and access information locally. Android stores a signed Google Play receipt and, if applicable, a courtesy-code digest. iOS verifies access with StoreKit. These records are not sent to a developer server. The app receives purchase status and receipts, but never card or bank details. Store billing services process transactions and necessary technical service data under their own policies. Deleting app data removes local preferences and receipts; store purchase records follow the store’s retention rules.

Playing

Select 1–8 players and assign colors. Tap Start. The tone descends from 20,000 to 8,000 Hz over 24 seconds. Each player taps their color once when they hear it. The round ends when everyone responds, Finish is tapped, or time expires. With one player, Finish also records that player’s response.

Game scores, not medical results

The displayed age (5–100) is a recreational score based on the frequency at the time of your tap, not your actual age or a clinical hearing assessment. The app does not diagnose, treat or prevent medical conditions. Speaker performance, volume, distance and noise affect the result. Consult a qualified healthcare professional if you have concerns about your hearing.

Paw button

It plays a tone sweeping between 20,000 and 21,000 Hz. Tap again to stop. It does not guarantee animals can hear it or respond, and is not a repellent or protection device. High-frequency reproduction depends on your device.

Sound and settings

Use a low, comfortable volume and brief sessions. Stop if uncomfortable. Do not turn up the volume to try to hear a frequency. Audio stops when you leave the app. Information includes a fixed-tone control and language selection.

No in-app account is required. Clear app data in Android settings or uninstall to delete the saved language preference. On iOS, delete the app and its data through device settings.
